The Magpies have largely flown under the radar in recent years, but there's a reason they are the most succesful team in BIQL history. There have been no League Cup titles since 2005, but they are coming increasingly close every year. Chasers Royden Keitch and Gytha Gorman, as well as Seeker George MacIntosh, played in that 2005 Grand Final win and are still integral members of the squad today. Added to these wise old heads is a dearth of young but still experienced players. More than any other team, the Magpies have the most consistent player roster year-to-year, with only three changes to their squad over the last two years.

The disappointment of losing last year’s Grand Final to the Tornados is still raw for these bonny Scots, but with all seven who played that day still rostered, they will be better for the experience. Don’t forget to watch for Montrose, they will be a genuine title threat this year.
