If ever the oft-criticised Muggle-originating policy of making money and buying the best players from elsewhere has shown to be worthwhile, it is in the case of the Tornados. In 2011, this assortment of experienced journeymen and women gelled in a way hitherto unseen by such a unit of talented but markedly maverick individuals.

At their best the Tornados were unstoppable and conveniently it was right around finals time that they reached this elite level. Despite losing to the Magpies in Week 1 of the finals, Tutshill recovered with three imperious wins, including a return triumph over the Magpies in the Grand Final, to be the 2011 British and Irish Quidditch Champions. 

If they can reach the same heights consistently in 2012, they have every chance of repeating the triumph. But whether the unit can gel over such a long period without faltering is the real question.
